  • 7 Types Of Plastıc That Shape Modern Lıfe

From computer keyboards to smartphones, car parts, coffee cup covers, medical devices, satellites, plastic is important for many of the technology that makes modern life possible. You may not realize how widespread and important plastic is, but none of us celebrate plastics or congratulate them? Probably not.

The seven spectacular types of plastics are the most common and versatile ones in the world. Unless you live in a cave, you may now have something in your field of view made of one or more types of plastic. Let’s take a look at some of the amazing and amazing things that are made of these amazing seven plastics, both everyday and extraordinary

1. Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET Or PETE)

PET, the labor force of the plastics world, is super useful due to its durability, temperature tolerance, resistance to deterioration and ability to prevent moisture. All kinds of plastic bottles from beverages to peanut butter, shampoo to laundry detergent are produced from PET. With its highly recyclable structure, it is the apple of the eye of entrepreneurs. Manufacturers now produce everything such as bottles and clothing from recycled PET !

2. High Density Polyethylene (HDPE)

PET’s more powerful cousin, HDPE, keeps cornflakes fresh in boxes, lowers the likelihood of leakage in home plumbing systems, when used in fireworks, helps illuminate celebrations and is a favorite type of filament used in 3D printing. Like PET, HDPE can be recycled.

3. Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE)

The first type of polyethylene produced, LDPE manufactures plastic rings that hold six packages together. Preserves meat and bakery products in film format. Plus, when used on a coaxial cable, it helps bring your favorite TV shows home.

4. PolypropylenePP)

We use it every day in laboratory equipment! PP which is highly used in medical applications, in everything from pill bottles to diagnostic equipment and inhalers to syringes, is like a Hulk. PP is also used in condiment bottles and car battery containers!

5. Polystyrene (PS)

PS can either be extruded as foam to make sheets (such as trays under meat cuts in the grocery store) or as hard and brittle as when used to make plastics. PS helps keep your home safe when packaging is used by restaurants to deliver food to your home, and when used to create the housings of smoke detectors.

6. Polyurethane (PUR)

Polyurethane is available in everything from mattresses to shoes. It is also the most common material used for roller coaster wheels. It works well as insulation in homes and household appliances and is frequently used in bandages and wound dressings.

7. Polymethyl Methacrylate (PMMA)

PMMA, known as acrylic or acrylic glass, keeps your aquarium fish comfortable and safe, and is often used as a barrier between ice rink and hockey arenas. It is also often seen in lenses given to people with cataracts.
