What will happen after the pandemic? What will the new normal be like? Has the digital age begun? Let alone asking these questions, technologies have changed shape and integrated into our lives for years. Of course, this integration is not as fantastic as in science fiction movies, but maybe this is how new technologies should enter our lives for it to be acceptable, who knows?

Undoubtedly, autonomous cars are one of the most important technologies that have been developed over the years and are gradually being accepted by us. An autonomous car, also known as a robot car, a driverless car, is a type of car that can sense its surroundings and move with little or no human input. autonomous cars; They contain various sensors to detect their environment using measurement units such as radar, computer vision, sonar, gps, odometer and inertia. Advanced control systems; interprets sensory information to identify suitable navigation paths, obstacles, and related signs. Potential benefits include reduced costs, increased safety, increased mobility, increased customer satisfaction and reduced crime. Safety benefits include reduction in traffic collisions, resulting in reduced injuries and other costs, including insurance. While automatic vehicles are expected to increase traffic flow; provide greater mobility for children, the elderly, the disabled and the poor; It has benefits in a variety of ways, such as saving passengers from driving and navigating, improving vehicle fuel efficiency, significantly reducing parking requirements, reducing crime, and facilitating business models for transportation as a service, particularly through the sharing economy.

We would like to tell you about a new initiative for autonomous vehicles. Teijin Ltd. and Applied Electric Vehicles have teamed up to develop an energy-efficient, low-speed electric vehicle (LS-EV) prototype for autonomous driving systems and other applications expected to help realize zero-emissions mobility. The four-seater LS-EV embodies a zero-emissions approach to the wheel, combining Teijin's expertise in strong, lightweight materials, machining and molding technologies, and Applied EV's new mobility vehicle platform. Dubbed the Blanc Robot, the platform was built entirely from first principles and integrates full drive technologies with a new high-efficiency drivetrain. This model, which provides unprecedented energy efficiency for an autonomous vehicle and consumes almost the same amount of energy as a pedestrian, is admirable. It can also be used for autonomous driving systems. Curved roof equipped with solar panel Teijin's lightweight, impact resistant Panlite polycarbonate resin glass is used for windows and doors, which are the main components of the vehicle, making the stylish body possible. The polycarbonate used for the prototype also provides excellent infrared blocking and helps moderate temperatures in the cabin. The curved roof, integrally molded with Panlite glass, is equipped with a solar panel and lightweight power supply module. The system achieves an output of about 330 W, equivalent to a conventional solar panel placed under glass. The transition to electric mobility focuses on the benefit of a zero-emissions-from-source approach that takes into account the overall energy efficiency of vehicles, including how electricity is supplied and how efficiently it is used while driving.

Autonomous vehicles are on the road, yes, but it seems like it will take some time before all vehicles are unmanned. The future has arrived… so are we ready for the future?
