How To Trade
IN ORDER TO KEEP UP WITH DEVELOPING GLOBAL ECONOMIES AND SURPASS THEM, ITALY HAS EXPEDITED ITS STRUCTURAL REFORM EFFORTS. THESE EFFORTS ARE DRIVEN BY THE MINISTRY OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS AND INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION AND ARE SUPPORTED BY ALL OF ITALY’S INSTITUTIONS AND ORGANIZATIONS THAT ARE RELATED TO TRADE AND ECONOMICS.
Italy provides information and consultancy services through the Italian Trade Agency, with the aim of promoting Italian companies abroad and attracting foreign investment in Italy. The Foreign Direct Investment Desk, which is a sub-branch of the trade agency, provides all sorts of information. The fact that ITA has a widespread network of foreign offices making it possible to directly access information is a great advantage for Italy.

Trade with Turkey
In 2014, our exports to Italy increased by 3.6% to reach €5.7 billion, while our imports from Italy decreased by 3.3% to €9.8 billion. The largest portion of Turkey’s exports to Italy was generated by the automotive industry (passenger cars and delivery trucks). This was followed by petroleum oils, nuts, TV receivers and video monitors, automotive parts, woven garments and intimate apparel, and iron and steel rods.
Turkey’s main imports from Italy, on the other hand, are automotive parts, petroleum oils, medicine, machinery and devices for washing-cleaning-drying-stuffing, diesel and semi-diesel engines.
Italian Chamber of Commerce is another useful resource for Turkish investors:
