European Parliament has passed the law that limits the usage of one-use products like plastic plates, forks, spoons, drinking straws that causes sea pollution.

European Parliament (EP), has passed the law that limits the usage of one-use products like plastic dishes that causes sea pollution. They gathered at Strasbourg and passed the law with 571 votes against 53 that limits the usage of one-use plastic products that most found near sea and beaches.

The law is going to limit the usage of products like ear buds, plastic dishes, plastic straws, and balloon sticks by 2021. Plastic bottles will be recycled at a rate of %90. The food boxes that don’t contain alternative products will be used less. Wastes like cigarette buds and plastic fishing ropes will be decreased.

For the law to be confirmed, EU Council, EU Commission and EP will start negotiations. In case, they will come to an agreement, after all institutions confirmation, all EU countries will be affected from the law.
