Oh İf I Was On That Ship
Now it's summer vacation time. Sea, sand and sun await us. Nice delicious cocktails and phosphorescence ... Wait a moment, pandemic or coronavirus? Don't break your spirits. There are sailboats, motor yachts, ultra luxury boats instead of ultra luxury facilities in five star hotels… Even if you are the boat of your best boat friend, if you love the sea, research the boat construction, maybe there is an alternative for you. Who knows?
There are different types of materials used by each manufacturer during the boat manufacturing phase and various methods used in yacht construction according to these material types. Steel, Aluminum, GRP - Composite and Wood are among the most preferred yacht building main materials during the yacht manufacturing phase.
Steel Boats: Steel is a Steel Yacht manufacturing item formed by combining a small amount of carbon with iron. The proportion of carbon in steel determines the alloy types of this material. In addition, steel sheet steel is the materials used in the shipbuilding and repair industry, produced in different types and qualities, and in the form of plates. Such materials are frequently used in yacht and boat manufacturing as well as in shipbuilding.
Aluminum Boats: It is a tiltable metal in aluminum with shiny color. Aluminum is resistant against oxidation and is an indispensable main material of the ship and aviation industry. In addition, aluminum components are used in the manufacture of different products and materials. Because aluminum is lighter in weight than steel, it is preferred for the production of yachts that require high speeds and vehicles in other transportation sectors.
Composite Boats: The material known as GRP (English: Glass Reinforced Plastic) is the most frequently used among other composite materials. This material occurs when fibers such as glass or carbon are placed in a polymer such as polyester. Since fibers or also resins are not resistant to changes in sea conditions on their own, they become single composites by being combined. Although GRP is used quite frequently in yacht manufacturing, since it does not apply homogeneously at all points of the hull, damage and wear may occur at any point on the hull of the hull.
Wooden Boats: Wooden is the oldest material used in conventional boat hull manufacturing. Wood material is mostly used in the manufacture of gulets with laminated system. In addition, it is used as carcass and coating during the manufacture of interior spaces of all boats. Even though molded wooden boat manufacturing applications are mostly ideal for small yachts, they create a lot of problems in larger boats. Larger size wooden boats can be produced by supporting with epoxy and composite materials and using different manufacturing techniques.
