Once In A Year

Mother's day, father's day, cat day, doctors day… of course there is also World Environment day!!! One day a year… There is a day related to every subject on the calendar papers. There are those who say it is a fabrication of capitalism, and there are those who call these special days emotional exploitation. Some celebrate special days properly. So, should our fathers be precious only on Father's Day, or only on Mother's Day? Of course no!

Global warming, the change and disappearance of vegetation, extinct or meaningless migrating animal species, increasing natural disasters that we cannot understand, surprising events and the alarming of sea and ocean ecosystems may be the end of human beings... We do not quite understand what benefit it is to remember once and turn it into a show once a year.

Of course, there are scientists who do serious research, states that support scientists and try to use every means possible, and there are non-governmental organizations that want to explain the problems by shouting loudly on every platform and want to raise awareness. Is it just this business with scientists, governments and volunteers? We don't think…we can't be sure… it doesn't happen!!! It can't!!!

Unfortunately, individual initiatives cannot happen unless there is individual awareness and individual education. They ask the one who unconsciously killed the forest next to his house, why did you cut the trees, the answer was clear, I needed it. The same person whose house was destroyed by the falling rains and even died because of the flood… The answer is clear, you cut the tree, there is nothing left to hold the rain water!!! I don't know how many meters they ask those who are enjoying their boat, why do you pour your waste directly into the sea, the answer is clear what will be the sea, of course the sea will be clean. The same person whose boat engine broke down when mucilage covered the sea, and even he could not go into the sea and enjoy himself… The answer is clear, you polluted the sea, and the sea gave you its answer!!! In the village, they ask those who leave the wolves to nature, why did you leave the wolves in nature, the answer is that there are not many rabbits here, so they don't eat the crops. !! Of course, it is possible to multiply these examples.

Then it means that it is not enough to celebrate the World Environment Day once a year, it means that we must learn and educate individually, that means we must respect nature as individuals, that means we should not expect everything from states, scientists and non-governmental organizations. It will be the individual initiatives and efforts of individuals that will save this world. Strength arises from unity, and only nature can stand in the way of strength. It is our greatest debt of gratitude to respect nature instead of standing against nature and to help it by being grateful for what it offers us. It's time to take action before it's too late, before it's too late, before it's too late...

Not once a year, every day should be an environment day, every day should be world environment day...
