The coronavirus caused us to remember the important values we lost and to become united. A group of 3D printer users came together on social media and started collective production movement under the name of 3 Dimensional Support and started to produce a free face shield for healthcare workers by asking each individual from every segment about the pandemic.

Some citizens strengthen the healthcare professionals with their applause and prayers, while others support the healthcare personnel with the protective equipment they produce.

The network, which includes firms, engineers, designers and software developers, including 3D printers, which came together on social media to ensure the production of medical parts, tools and equipment by using the power of 3D printers, launched the collective production movement under the name of 3D Support.

After the medical equipment was drafted and the prototype of what they called protective face shield was shared with the people joining the network on social media, volunteers started to produce protective face shields for healthcare workers from their homes and companies with a 3D printer.

In a short time from Turkey's 81 provinces over 1500 people and institutions joined the network with about 3 thousand 3-D printer. The produced masks are delivered to health institutions, hospitals and doctors in each province.

While 3D printer owners can join the network through the “3boyutludestek.com” website, healthcare professionals, hospitals and healthcare organizations can also submit medical parts requests. Sponsors who want to provide rubber, PETG transparent protective plate and filament support can also be included in the supply network.
