  • Perception Of Beauty

How society defines beauty and which features it cares about changes in every period. The perception of beauty may change over time and may differ in different societies. For example, in the past, it was believed that a broad-shouldered, large-bodied and overweight woman represented fertility, and for a long time people's perception of beauty was shaped in this direction. Today, although this perception is about to change, there is a general acceptance that thinner, well-groomed and weaker women are beautiful. Anthropological research shows that even today, social characteristics and the perception of beauty are in harmony with each other. So what else has changed besides our perception of beauty?

Although the perception of beauty is variable, make-up is an application that people have preferred for thousands of years to beautify, strengthen and feel better. The origins of makeup, BC. It is possible to see it in Egyptian mummies found in Egypt in the 4000 BC. The Egyptians used kohl to accentuate their eyes. In fact, it should be noted that the beauty of the famous Egyptian Queen Cleopatra, whose beauty and intelligence has been talked about for thousands of years, is based on make-up to some extent! It is believed that the kohl that made the eyes clear and added a magical beauty to Egyptian women and men at that time was also used for protection against various eye ailments such as infections. Ancient Egypt is the first example we know; Make-up has also been widely used in different cultures over time. Today, make-up has taken on a completely different dimension. We use many products that we can consider as make-up on any part of the body, not just the skin or face; Technology gives us endless possibilities at this point.
