Plastıcs Exports Up By 15%

According to the istanbul chemicals and chemical products exporters’ association (ikmib), in may, chemical exports rose by 10.70% compared to the same month last year and reached $1,468,000,000. The increase in April was about 8.52%. Spain is the top export destination with $95,700,000. Germany and Iraq follow Spain.

With a volume of $525,745,000, plastics and finished goods exports constitute the largest share among the sub-industries. They are followed by mineral fuels, oils and their products with an export volume of $221,471,000. And inorganic chemical exports come third with $157,741,000.

The chemical industry exports surpassed $7 billion during the first five months of 2018. Top destinations for exports during this period were Germany, Spain, Iraq, USA, Egypt, Italy, Holland, England, Iran and Greece.
