Schütz’s Acquısıtıon In Mexıco

The German packaging giant, Schütz GmbH & Co. has signed a purchase agreement for all of the shares of Mexican industrial packaging company, KGaA.

Envases y Laminados SA de CV (ELSA) and Schütz have worked together in Mexico for 20 years. Schütz’s sales reached a total of €1.460 billion in 2016.

Roland Strassburger, CEO of the Schütz group, stated: “We are excited about this unique opportunity to be present in Mexico with a fully owned subsidiary. ELSA is well established and Mexico offers interesting growth perspectives for our industry as our customers perceive Mexico to be an integral part of the NAFTA region.”
