Turkey Makes Its Own Toys Now
The efforts to end Chinese domination in the manufacture of toys -which are essential for child development and education- and to revitalize the Turkish toy industry have started to bear fruit. Turkey’s year-end goal is $106 million.

Turkish toy industry has seen a domestic consumption level of $290 million during the January-June period of 2017. With $200 million market value and 70% share in the general toy consumption, plastic toys were once again number one.
Turkey’s toy exports reached $17.6 million during the first half of 2017. Plastic toys constitute the largest portion of these exports with a market value of $15,8 million. The countries that the toy industry makes the most exports to are: France, Iraq, Turkmenistan, Cyprus, and Iran.
