Plastics Machinery Exports Rose to 83 Billion Dollars

DURING THE FIRST FIVE MONTHS OF THE YEAR, TURKEY'S MACHINERY INDUSTRY INCREASED ITS EXPORTS BY 24% TO $7 BILLIONS.

During the first five months of the year, Turkey’s machinery industry increased its exports by 24% to $7 billions. The increase in exports was due to the resumption of projects and investments worldwide. Europe, once again, accounts for the lion’s share in exports. While the overall export volume reached $69 billions during the first five months of the year, the machinery industry’s share in total exports rose to 10.3%. Especially in prominent markets such as Germany and the USA, the machinery sector increased its share by 20% to 30%. The industry’s exports to Germany has already surpassed $1 billion.
