Antibacterial Life Fluid
When visiting the country in our country, the host first offers a cologne to us, though they wanted to disinfect us first. Joking aside, we saw that when the coronavirus announced the first case, chaos was experienced in every country. We have seen those who run into the markets unconsciously, who have plundered the pharmacies, and let's not deny it. We came unconsciously for a hand disinfectant ... and at one time the shelves were empty, prices increased, stocks were exhausted.
Actually, we can manage our stocks ourselves. We can store the pumps and bottles of disinfectant products and use them over and over again. We can purchase our disinfectant in 5 L in the same bottle and with the same pump. Manufacturer companies have difficulties in supplying bottles that can fill the disinfectant rather than producing disinfectants.
Companies in the U.S. are trying to produce more to respond to hand sanitizer demand, but it's still difficult to find the hand sanitizer and it doesn't seem possible to respond soon.
Alkol bazlı el temizleyici yapan şirketlere göre, daha yüksek üretim kısmen daha fazla arz haline gelmiyor çünkü plastik şişeleri tedarik etmek çok zor.
In addition, the individual user is not able to reach the hand sanitizer very comfortably, as the health facilities on the front lines of the pandemic are first dispatched. Consumers have to make do with the products they find.
According to data from market research firm Nielsen, US sales show that in the four weeks ended 28 March, it increased by 239% compared to the previous year. In other words, while we all buy a bottle of hand disinfectant, it is clear that the companies in the production cannot reach this demand.
Plastic container manufacturer Berry Global Group Inc. increased its production capacity across the US in March to deal with a new flood of demand. Amy Waterman said that she runs 24-hour operations at all of her plants to grow caps and orders for plastic bottles made of polyethylene or PET. However, higher production does not mean that there is more plastic supply, because food production, another priority during the pandemic, also increases dramatically. It's not just bottles. AptarGroup Inc., which makes special parts for cosmetics and personal care packaging increased the production of lotion pumps and disinfectant caps. However, demand is still above supply.
For example, RPP Products Inc. manufactures automotive fluids, but started disinfectant production a few weeks ago. Although the company can produce 150,000 gallons per week, for now it has announced that its only option is to pack disinfectants in automotive bottles.
QYK Brands LLC, a California-based cosmetics company that currently sells more hand sanitizers than any other product, says the problem is not just under-supplied plastic containers. General Manager Rakesh Tammabattula said that the chemical compounds needed to make gel are not sufficient.
Let's not forget that disinfectant bottles, containers and pumps are recyclable, at least we can use the same bottles and pumps. We will win together.
