Do The Habits Change?
While the pandemic has become a necessity that causes radical changes in our life, our individual and corporate activities continue unceasingly. While our understanding of trade and marketing methods have adapted to digital platforms, life seems to be returning to the old days with the discovery of the covid-19 vaccine.
Different covid-19 vaccines applied all over the world have created a meaningless relief on individuals. Vaccination is not just a measure against the disease, it is a guarantee. Despite this, countries that have been vaccinated have forgotten masks, distances, and precautions. Changing disease, mutating virus or new waves were suddenly forgotten.
Life is on its way back to normal. This relief of individuals is of course reflected in trade. Hotel occupancy rates are increasing. Parties are rampant. The food and beverage industry has returned to normal. What about the industrialist? What about the plastics industry?
As a result of this relaxation, of course, the industry and plastics sector is returning to normal or is transforming. Production was already going on somehow. The supply chain, though difficult, was being completed. However, marketing that has turned into digital seems to be turning into physical contact again with the demands of individuals. Is it bad? Maybe not… While the countries are in such a state of complacency, the plastics industry is in the role of the only hero, as always, with the measures it takes.
K Fair, one of the biggest fairs in the world, is planned to be held between 19-26 October in 2022. The K 2022 fair, which will be held in Düsseldorf, Germany, seems to have lost nothing of its charm. Of course, face-to-face activities have a large share in our habits. The demands for the K Fair are an indication that our habits have not changed much. Organizers say nearly 3,000 companies from around the world have registered to attend next year's K 2022. Is it just the K Fair? Of course no! Just plastic fairs? Of course no! All fairs are experiencing an explosion of demand.
Digital platforms, digital transformation is of course a necessity. Pandemic or not, the world is pushing us towards digital transformation. However, physical contact, face-to-face meeting, intimacy is the engine of individual relations and trade. Everyone missed those days. Everyone missed the bustle at the fair, the smiles at the meetings, the handshake agreements, the tired coffee enjoyed on the plane… But please be a little careful. Life is getting normal, everything is getting stable, but let's pay a little attention to distances and measures for another period. Let's be careful that so many precautions, so much effort, so much cost and of course, so many lives are not wasted!
Life will surely go on, one way or another, whether we have habits or not… the important thing is that we continue to strive for sustainability and stability for this life. Who doesn't miss a hug?
