Everyone Squeezes
When we want to have fun, we immediately go to junk food, right? Being healthy or unhealthy is no longer an issue. The important thing for us is to enjoy that junk food and activate our happiness hormones.
So what are these junk foods? Chips, chocolates, french fries, hamburgers, the list goes on. If we were to ask what are the essentials in addition to this list? Soft drinks and sauces, of course… That enchanting sound of opening the lid, shaking, or whacking, immediately puts a smile on our face.
It is unclear which of the sauces you like. Sometimes our eyes look for mustard, we say it would be nice if it was a spicy ketchup, we say barbecue sauces are not for me, but sometimes we can't do without it. We squeeze as much as we can… We squeeze on plates, food, walls, even each other and laugh.
There is a subject that we are talking about ironically, but this subject is also very common now. We need to put an end to this issue seriously, not with irony. No matter which plastic you use in packaging products, the most accurate, most economical and healthiest product is plastic. There is no need for someone to put pressure on you or explain anything as a result of this pressure. It is important to use the right plastic correctly. Recycling and sustainability are vital issues, no joke. There are certain ways to use recycled raw materials in your packaging products and you can use them. Like every country, every brand, every consumer, these issues are very, very important and taken seriously.
Another brand that is committed to using recycled raw materials in packaging products has joined the sustainability chain. Kraft Heinz Co. told nonprofit group As You Sow that the company will set a goal of zero plastic reduction within a year. In response, the nonprofit group agreed to withdraw a shareholder offer requesting a report on how the company would reduce its use of plastic packaging. However, As You Sow said in a written statement to the group that "the company plans to set a significant pure plastic packaging reduction target later this year or in the first quarter of 2023." Asking companies to change with proposals considered at annual meetings, As You Sow refused to provide a copy of the Kraft Heinz statement. "We are unable to distribute our withdrawal agreement. This is a private statement. It is best that you reach out to the company for comment," the group said in an email. As You Sow puts it, the company's move "continues the steady stream of major US brands and retailers that have agreed to cut back on raw plastic use after interacting with As You Sow." The group said in a press release that Kraft Heinz will "continue to support the packaging goals and circular economy through various initiatives and investments, including reduction of pure plastic material, packaging redesign, increased use."
Continuing research and scaling of recycled content and reuse models.” Headquartered in Berkeley, California, As You Sow aims to create change through shareholder offerings that target environmental and social corporate responsibility. As he says his deal with Heinz "includes an important goal of pure plastic reduction for packaging, including packaging redesign and innovative reuse models." "We have similar proposals pending at Amazon, McDonald's and Kroger, and these companies reduce their use of plastic for packaging." "We hope they can come to an agreement," he said.
As we said, everyone is boring, non-stop. Well, we would like to ask a question, is it the most important position to reduce the use of plastic? Isn't it more important to manage this use, to recycle, to raise awareness of users for recycling and to provide opportunities? As well as asking for explanations on the packaging in which the sauces are squeezed, aren't there questions to be asked about the unhealthy and non-food products in which those sauces are squeezed?
