Time Is Passing
It's hard to live, indeed... If you're an adult, you're part of the range of responsibilities and obligations that surround your life. Bills, debts, unfinished business, unexpected expenses... Where can one take shelter in this difficult pace and deadlock of life? What takes care of him/her in his/her toughest moments? We will give a one-word answer to this question: to your past.
The past envelops us, our childhood memories embrace us. Sometimes we remember the chestnuts being cooked crispy on the stove, the marbles we collided with our friends on the street... It warms your heart when you think of it, doesn't it? Yes, these beautiful feelings surround us all. But is the past as beautiful as it lives in our memories?
There is no doubt that the technological and technical possibilities we have today have never existed in any period of history. Since many inventions that make our lives easier are a natural part of our lives today, we find it difficult to imagine a world without them. Yes, we all fall under the spell of nostalgia; do we ever think about the difficulties we have had in the past? Or are difficulties hiding behind our sweet dreams? Are we ignoring the many blessings that we could not benefit from in those days due to high production costs, weak purchasing power and insufficient technology?
Let's think about our toys: When the use of plastic was not yet widespread, we should have protected the toys we had. We couldn't just buy a new one for our broken toy because it was expensive. Or consider the accidents caused by glass demijohns. Glass demijohns, which were not produced with today's technology, were difficult to use, high production costs and high risks. Do we need to talk about kitchen utensils? From cling film to plastic storage containers, we probably wouldn't be able to finish counting the materials that make our life easier and budget friendly and are an integral part of our daily life.
Of course, our childhood was beautiful, it is impossible to value any of the beautiful memories. There are many people who would happily spend all their wealth to return to their childhood... Nevertheless, we should not ignore the blessings that technology has given us. As a matter of fact, our life today is much easier compared to the past days. We owe a big thank you to technology and plastic materials that make our lives more livable and comfortable.
It is actually very easy to give thanks to the plastics industry in the best possible way. Instead of constantly defaming him, giving credit to him and talking about his benefits will be the biggest thank you.
