Working Without Fear
We were afraid to touch with the coronavirus. In our opinion, we started to open doors, greet and contact things with interesting and different methods. From a distance, these interesting and different methods are both funny and pathetic, but the fear and danger of coronavirus is not an issue to be taken lightly.
Touch screens we use in our business life and become widespread carry a great risk of viruses, especially in corporate use. Touch screens, which are constantly disinfected for the health of employees, are damaged by the alcohol contained in disinfectants, just like our hands. Review Display Systems, a display and embedded solution provider, announced the availability of a nano-silver antibacterial laminate film that can be used to increase the safety of touchscreen-based healthcare equipment. This is very good news, especially for healthcare professionals.
The ongoing COVID-19 outbreak has caused the continuous use of touch screen-based screen systems in recent months. The cleaning and hygiene of touch monitors used by the public or in healthcare facilities has become much more important. Interactive touchscreen-based imaging systems are known hot spots for bacteria and germs. Reviewing Imaging Systems anti-bacterial technology helps eliminate 99.9% of microbial bacteria traditionally found in these high-contact touchpads. Without the film, bacteria can live on the touch screen surface and spread rapidly to other people who interact with the device. Justin Coleman, Department of Inspection Imaging Systems, said: The implementation of graphical user interfaces with touchscreen-based systems has become widespread in many industries. Maintaining consumer confidence that these systems can continue to be used safely and effectively is essential. The easy-to-apply antimicrobial laminate film provides a strong and reliable defense against the ongoing presence of bacteria that come into contact with the surface of the touch screen. Suitable for existing products or new system designs, the film is fast and simple to apply so that customers can self-laminate touchscreen-based display systems regardless of the type or size of the product. Antimicrobial film is currently available in sizes up to 32 inches, but bespoke, custom sizes can be easily prepared. The antimicrobial film can be placed on the outer surface of the touch screen to effectively fight harmful bacteria. The antimicrobial film has a thickness of 155 µm and an optical transparency of more than 90%, and the adhesive backing is silicone-based, easy to apply, bubble-resistant and effectively closes the area of use.
Silver nanoparticles are used in nano silver technology. Silver ions are effective against multiple bacterial species and work by piercing the glycoprotein structure of the bacterial cell wall. Bacteria need protease for metabolism and reproduction, and silver ions react chemically with sulfhydryl, causing the protein to denaturation, making the bacteria inactive, unable to reproduce and resulting in the death of the bacterial cell. Silver ions will turn to silver atoms upon destruction of the bacterial cell and remain on the surface of the film, maintaining its anti-bacterial activity.
It will be much easier to work, find solutions and treat without fear and risk with these protective antibacterial films. It wouldn't be bad if films were made according to the body to shake hands and hug as before.
